The Association “Roschemreactive” at the 24th International Exhibition of Equipment, Raw Materials and Technologies for pharmaceutical production “Pharmtech & Ingredients-2022”
The first day of the 24th International Exhibition of Equipment, Raw Materials and Technologies for Pharmaceutical Production “Pharmtech & Ingredients-2022” started at the Crocus Expo IEC on November 22, 2022. This year, more than 260 companies from 18 countries of the world represent the novelties of the pharmaceutical industry.
A rich business program was planned for the participants and visitors of the exhibition. One of the key events was the round table on the topic “AFS production – business or state necessity?”. The discussion was attended by Irina Vendilo, General Director of the Association “Roschemreactive”, Alexander Pshenichny, General Director of LLC “Polysynthesis”, Alexander Semenov, President of JSC “Active Component”, Georgy Khachiyan, General Director of LLC “Reatorg”, Ratmir Dashkin, General Director of the Mendeleev Engineering Center, and Maria Ivanova, First Vice President of the Russian Union of Chemists.
The key topics of discussion were the interaction of the industry and the state, what form business cooperation with the state will take and whether this form will be effective. The participants agreed that in modern realities it is necessary to create industry concerns and specialized clusters. The concept of a chemical cluster with the necessary technologies and capacities for the production of a wide range of products will help the industry to reduce dependence on the current availability of certain components.
The program of the first day ended with a round table “Cooperation of the pharmaceutical and chemical industries: how to make a project effective.” The Association “Roschemreactive” acted as a co-organizer of the event, and the General director of the Association Irina Vendilo was the moderator of the session.
During the discussion, the participants touched upon issues relevant to the industry: how to work with domestic companies on import-substituting projects, what you will have to face and why combine the efforts of science and business, building cooperation between the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, import substitution of chemical raw materials, how to comply with GMP standards under sanctions pressure.
The event was attended by members of the Association: LLC “Industrial Environmental Laboratories”, LLC “Reatorg” and GC “Ecos-1”, who, thanks to their successful experience of cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry and interest in building successful cooperation, contributed to strengthening inter-industry ties and increasing interest in the possibilities of the domestic chemical industry from pharmaceutical companies.
According to the participants, the pharmaceutical business needs to take on the role of the locomotive of industry cooperation, providing funding and specific requests to scientific institutes, and within the framework of educational programs, universities should prepare graduates for specific projects and within the framework of real production cases.
